Valeria Lutkovska, the Ukrainian ombudswoman is sure in the necessity to check prisons in the occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions to conduct a grand scale prisoners’ exchange on the formula ‘all for all’ as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.
She also partially confirmed the impossibility to hold the exchange of the prisoners on such formula until the settlement of Donbas Conflict.
‘The issue of the exchange on formula ‘all for all’ should be solved by some experts. It can be national or international experts that will go through prisons all over Donbas after the settlement of the conflict and then confirm that there are no illegally detained people’, she explained.
Earlier Petro Poroshenko demanded to immediately resume the negotiations with Russia on the release of hostages. Also, it was announced that the exchange could take place on the formula 74 for 29. It was also reported that the Trilateral Contact Group will discuss this issue on January 10th.
