The Interior Ministry refuted information on lifting the National Guard security off Shevchenkivsky court of Kyiv, according to their press service.
“The National Guard servicemen continue their service there. During the day, there was a change of shift of guards according to the plan of duty,” the statement says.
It was also noted that the National Police and the National Guard will continue ensuring the security of courts and judicial institutions until a different decision is made.
Earlier today it was reported that the National Guard lifted off the security of the Shevchenkivsky court.
Before that, Interior Minister Avakov called on the Cabinet of Ministers to abolish the protection of courts by the National Police and the National Guard. He commented on the refusal of Kyiv Shevchenkivsky District Court to arrest the ex-fighter of the Donbas battalion suspected of shooting at a police officer during the rallies near Solomiansky District Court on February 15. Avakov emphasized that releasing this individual under bail basically meant the court enabled such actions.
