Implementation of security unit of the Minsk agreements will contribute to the promotion of peaceful settlement in other areas of the conflict in Donbas. As the press service of the Presidential Administration reported, president Poroshenko, as well as heads of France and Germany shared this opinion during a telephone conversation.
"Petro Poroshenko, Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande discussed the state of implementation of the Minsk agreements on resolving the situation in Donbas and came to the conclusion about the need to make progress in implementing security unit, which will contribute to the further advancement in other areas,” the Presidential Administration news service reported.
The Presidential Administration also noted that during the meeting the heads of states agreed on the need to continue work on the preparation of a roadmap regarding implementation of the Minsk agreements.
The Presidential Administration emphasized that the heads of Germany and France noted Ukraine's efforts aimed at a peaceful settlement of the conflict. "The President of Ukraine drew attention of the German Chancellor and the French President to the inadmissibility of the situation with the hostages and the illegal holding of Ukrainian citizens in Russia,” the press-service reported.
