ICRC sends over 200 tons of humanitarian aid to Donbas

The citizens of Donbas will get the food packs and building materials

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) sent 12 trucks with humanitarian aid to Donbas as the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported.

The trucks entered the temporarily occupied territories through Novotroitske checkpoint.

“Through Novotroitske checkpoint to temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, 12 trucks with humanitarian aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross proceeded,” the message said.

The citizens of Donbas will get food packs and building materials. The total weight of the humanitarian aid made 203 tons.

As we reported Poland allocated more than $ 1 million to solve humanitarian problems in the occupied territories of Donbas this winter.

Earlier UN urged the donors to gather $52 million for the humanitarian aid to Donbas until winter 2019.

Besides, UNICEF sent humanitarian aid to Donbas. Humanitarian aid arrived to the residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions on September 25. It is worth noting that the fund provided medicaments and water supply equipment. The weight of total humanitarian aid is almost nine tons. All cargo was transported in four trucks.
