ICRC sends humanitarian aid to Donbas

Five trucks of the International Committee of Red Cross mission passed through Novotroitske checkpoint to the temporarily occupied territory of Donbas. The vehicles are carrying 91,1 tons of humanitarian aid, as the press office of Ukraine’s Border Guard Service reported.

“Five trucks with humanitarian aid (medical equipment, hygiene items, and food packs) from the International Committee of Red Cross passed through Novotroitske checkpoint,” the message reads.

Earlier, Red Cross sent 295 tons of humanitarian aid (16 trucks) to Donbas.  

As it was reported, Ukraine was about to receive the humanitarian medical assistance from the U.S. The Ukrainian Embassy in the United States. 

In April, the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) sent humanitarian aid to the uncontrolled territory of Donbas, as Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service reported.

“Four trucks from ICRC were sent through Novotroitske entry-exit checkpoint to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. The residents of Donbas will receive 73 tons of humanitarian aid, in particular, building materials and hygiene kits,” the report said.
