ICRC sends humanitarian aid to Donbas

The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) has sent 14 trucks with humanitarian aid to the uncontrolled territory of Donbas, as Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service reported.

“14 trucks from ICRC were sent through Novotroitske checkpoint to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. The residents of Donbas will receive 231,4 tons of humanitarian aid, in particular, food, agricultural materials, building materials, medicine, and medical supplies,” the message reads.

As the same time it was added that all the checkpoints on the demarcation line in Join Forces Operation zone work in a routine mode. On April 10, 43,300 people and 5,100 vehicles crossed the checkpoints.

Earlier, the representatives of the illegal armed formations did not let three trucks carrying humanitarian aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross occupied Donbas. 

February 23, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) sent humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk regions weighing 190 tons.
