An arms cache was discovered in an abandoned building in Mariupol, Donetsk region. Press department of Prosecutor General's Office reported that on Thursday, February 4. 

"Law enforcers found a large arsenal with weapons and ammunition in one of the abandoned buildings in the Primorsky district of Mariupol. There were more than 1,600 hand grenades (RGD-5 and F-1), 2,000 flares, 1,060 fuses UZRGM, two large-caliber barrels, 62 Makarov handguns, and 124 cartridge boxes with rounds of 7.62 mm and 14.5 mm", reads the message.

A case was opened due to the fact of mishandling of weapons, ammunition or explosives (Article 263, Part 3 of Ukraine's Criminal Code).

Investigation activity is underway; individuals behind the crime are being identified.

Earlier, we reported that workers of the Kramatorsk unit of Ukraine's State Border Guard found a stash with ammunition in Donetsk region. Press office of the Border Guard reported that on January 20. 

The cache was located in the settlement of Tonenke, Donetsk region. Two RGD-5 grenades, a SM-320 signal mine, 42 rounds of 7.62 mm, two flares and one round for an anti-aircraft gun.
