Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug discussed the possible ceasefire at Stanytsia Luhanska with the team of the Joint Center of Control and Coordination (JCCC) during the meeting on October 11. The Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this at Facebook.
'According to the Frame decision of the Trilateral Contact Group on dispensing of forces and equipment, the ceasefire regime should last for seven days for the beginning of the dispensing process. However, the Ukrainian side of the JCCC spotted the violation of the ceasefire regime from the illegal military formation of the occupied territories of Donbas on October 9 and informed OSCE SMM. The possible date of the dispensing of forces is October 18, 2017', the message said.
Hug noted the importance of the dispensing of forces in Stanytsia Luhanska during the meeting. According to him, it will further the increase of the safety level at the checkpoint. Also, hug claimed that he is ready to provide the maximal cooperation in this process. Head of the Ukrainian side of the JCCC Bogdan Bondar expressed the solicitude on the continuous violation of the ceasefire regime by the militants.
