Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine, commented on the current situation in Donbas during the press-conference. He said that there is a “hot war” there. 112 Ukraine TV channel broadcasted this event. The President started speaking about Donbas after being asked about a possible introduction of UN peacekeepers in Ukraine.
“The peacekeepers' issue is quite complicated. I can tell you, that almost 300 shells were fired at our Armed Forces in last 24 hours. We do not have a completely safe element to implement any process in the east. I emphasize that it is impossible to perform any actions, when Russian snipers, gunners, mortarmen, tankers kill our soldiers. This is no frozen period of the conflict, this is a hot war,” the President said.
As we reported earlier, according to the Donbas conflict headquarter, militants attacked the positions of the Armed Forces seven times, one Ukrainian soldier was injured.
