All the healthy people left Donbas, old people stayed, they can not leave their homes, as the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at the Minsk press conference.

“The problem is that all the healthy people who could leave did so, they moved to Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. Who stayed? Old people, who can not leave their homes. You understand what is it for an old person to leave his home. Some women with children stayed, those who don’t have men,” he stated.

“Why should they cry and worry about their children, why shells fall on their heads, why do they die, for what? What is the interest? Try and analyze the human factor, not some international interest or the interests of some states,” he added.

“But above all – we ourselves presented a gift to the Americans and to those who fight against us, and, primarily, against Russia. We have presented them a gift,” he concluded.
