Ihor Plotnytsky, the Head of Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) resigned. Luhansk Information Center reported this citing the statements of Leonid Pasechnyk, the so-called Minister of State Security of LPR.
According to Pasechnyk, he will take the powers and authority Plotnytsky.
'The numerous battle injuries and consequences of the contused wound came into play. According to his decision, I will execute the duties of the Head of the Republic until the forthcoming election', he said.
Pasechnyk claimed that the LPR will stick to the support of the Minsk Agreements after the resign of Plotnytsky. He added that the occupation authorities will continue the work under the normal conditions.
It was reported that Plotnytsky was spotted at the airport of Moscow. Earlier the mass media reported on his escape from Luhansk.
The particular Russian mass media reported on the escape of Plotnytsky on November 21. The video with the militants' leader where he holds the working meetings and communicates with the journalists was published on November 22. He claimed that he did not leave the territory of occupied Luhansk and the actions that take place in LPR are the attempt of the take-over.
The open conflict between two militants' grouping headed by Plotnytsky and Ihor Kornet, Interior Minister of LPR takes place for three days. Armed people in the uniform and armored infantry vehicles are placed in the downtown of occupied Luhansk due to this. According to the mass media, the building of the Prosecutor's Office of LPR was invaded by the people under control of Kornet and all workers of the office were arrested.
