Germany, France ambassadors praise Ukraine's efforts to achieve peace in Donbas

Normandy format countries, France and Germany, noted that Ukraine was moving towards peace in Donbas. The relevant statements were made by the ambassadors of these countries, they were published by the press service of the President of Ukraine.

"This ceasefire mode has saved the lives of many soldiers and locals in eastern Ukraine. There have also been two exchanges of detainees, which is also important," said German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen.

French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins, in turn, focused on the shift in the issue of mutual release of detainees. He also praised the establishment of a ceasefire in the Donbas.

"At the same time, there is still a lot of work to be done at the level of presidents and heads of governments, as well as at the level of diplomatic advisers who work in the appropriate format," he noted.

As we reported earlier, according to Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko, there is progress in peacemaking in Donbas and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has a vision of how to attain this goal.
