Russian border guards in the occupied Crimea detained the Ukrainian wanted by local FSB for the alleged desecration of Russian flag. This was reported by the RIA news agency with the reference to the FSB press service.
Russian security service says that a 35-year-old man is accused of desecration of Russia’s flag and emblem.
According to the laws of the Russian Federation, he can be sentenced to imprisonment for a year or to correctional labor for the same term.
It is noted that Ukrainian was detained at Armyansk checkpoint during the check of the documents.
As it was reported earlier masked men in the occupied Crimea on January 18, detained two Crimean Tatar activists - participants of the single pickets of October 14, 2017 - Girey Kulametov and Kemal Seityaev. It is noted that searches were held in the city of Stary Krym in the house of Kulametov, and in Belogorsk – house of Seityaev.
Soon it became known about Kulametov’s detention, today a court will be hearing his case.
He and Seityaev, who was also taken to court, will be accused of spreading "extremist information" in social network.
