FSB agent detained trying to get classified materials of Ukraine's defense industry

Ukraine's state security service (SBU) took in a man who worked for Russia's federal security service (FSB). The SBU press office reported that on Wednesday evening, explaining that the agent was detained while trying to get a hand on the materials of Ukraine's defense industry. 

The man was apparently recruited by the FSB officer in Russia. It appeared he was a resident of Chernihiv region, northern Ukraine who agreed to pass the Russian special service the retrieved data for money.

"In order to get the documents with the limited access, the agent of Russian special service set contacts with servicemen of Ukraine's Armed Forces. In order to pass the collected information, Russian curators provided the agent with a video recording device (...)", reads the message.

Law enforcers opened a criminal proceeding under the "State Treason" article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The detainee will be noticed of suspicion; he may face up to 15 years behind the bars.
