Four Ukrainian soldiers die in Donbas conflict zone: General Staff shares details

Four Ukrainian soldiers died near Pavlopil after a shell with a mine launched from grenade launched reached a trench, as the Head of Armed Forces General Staff Ruslan Khomchak said at the briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.  

According to him, while the enemy was attacking the Ukrainian positions, the soldiers were conducting engineering works in the trench. The shell had an 82mm mine attached to it.

Ukrainian servicemen were ready to response. Yet, the militants left their positions quickly.

Khomchak noted that since the beginning of the day, the occupants did not violate ceasefire, the Ukrainian soldiers continue dealing with demining of the territory near Stanytsia Luhanska. Khomchak said the process of demining was almost over.

On August 6, the militants attacked the Ukrainian positions near Pavlopil in Donbas combat zone. Four Ukrainian servicemen died as a result. It was reported that during the attack the servicemen were carrying out engineering works.
