Four servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine died as a result of shelling by illegal armed groups in Donetsk region. Two others were injured. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG).
"Today, March 26, at about 2 pm near Shumy, four servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed and two were wounded as a result of enemy shelling of our positions," the statement reads.
It is noted that the militants attacked Ukrainian positions near Shumy (Donetsk region). The occupants opened fire from mortars.
Since the beginning of March 25, one attack on Ukrainian positions in Donbas has taken place.
The only attack took place near Svitlodarsk, Luhansk region. Russian mercenaries used mounted anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
There are no combat losses among Ukrainian defenders.
Over the last 24 hours, workers of the State Emergency Service defused 4.5 hectares of land and passed 125 explosive items for safe destruction.
