Four men detained near Mariupol for illegal transportation of explosives

Two Ukrainian citizens and two Belarusians were detained at an outpost near Mariupol, Donetsk region, as they illegally transported mines and explosives. The press service of the Joint Forces Operation reported that on Facebook.

The residents of Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions and the two Belarusian citizens rode the Volkswagen Multivan. They carried two anti-tank mines, five detonator assemblies UZRGM and 200 grams of plastic explosives, which they carried without any respective permissions', reads the message.  

All four suspects and the car were handed over to the regional branch office of the National Police.

Last month, law enforcers revealed a big hiding spot with explosive devices, grenades and grenade launchers in Zaitsevo, Dnipropetrovsk region, as the press office of the region police reports. In total, eight kilograms of explosive devices, 60 RGD-5, F1 and RGN grenades with detonators, two rocket-propelled grenades, six rounds to it, 12 smoke bombs and 16 boxes with bullets to different weapon was found. It was noted that the local policeman, who was gathering waste metal in the wood line found the hideout. For now, the policemen are determining the origin of the weapon and the individuals involved in the establishment of the hideout. All the ammunition was seized and sent for inspection.
