Four injured soldiers are in serious condition in intensive care in Dnipro city’s Mechnikov hospital after Svitlodarsk bulge battle. This was reported by the Chief Doctor of the hospital Sergii Ryzhenko on air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"Four soldiers who arrived recently are now in intensive care. They are all on lung ventilator. But they are recovering. It’s possible to take off the ventilators of two soldiers today," he noted.
All the soldiers that are coming to the Mechnikov hospital usually come with blood loss and need blood transfusions, Ryzhenko added.
"These are most seriously wounded soldiers who have a lot of injuries. We transfuse a lot of blood, which can be calculated in tons as of today. From three to five donors are needed for one seriously wounded soldier to restore his blood loss. We do everything to attract young people and all volunteers on donor days. 2.2 tons of blood was transfused only in this hospital. We understand that if the war continues, we will need blood to transfuse. We always prepare reserves," he said.
Earlier it was reported that five soldiers from Svitlodarsk delivered to hospital - one in critical condition. He was operated and there is a chance that he will survive.
