The deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for Donbas, Vitold Fokin, proposes to create an interim government on this territory for holding local elections in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In his opinion, it should be an international body. Vitold Fokin told about this in his interview with Ukrainian Radio.
"I fully agree that security must be guaranteed before elections are held. And by what means it is up to the country's leadership. As one of the means, I would suggest using the mandate of the Security Council and creating an interim international government in these territories," Fokin said.
As we reported before, the statements of the representative of the Ukrainian delegation Vitold Fokin on Donbas do not reflect the official position of Ukraine.
"Some comments made in an interview with Vitold Fokin, deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation in the Minsk Trilateral Contact Group, do not reflect Ukraine's official position," Yermak said.
