The overall combat situation in eastern Ukraine remains tense; the number of attacks decreased but there’s no ceasefire, either.

According to the staff of the counter-terrorism operation, a tough fight took place near Krymske, where Ukrainian troops fought militants for eight hours straight. At least four militants were killed; however, four government servicemen also lost their lives in that skirmish. The emplacements near Krymske also came under 82 mm mortar fire; the enemy also fired small arms.

Fights took place near Luhanske, Novooleksandrivka, Pavlopol (where 120 mm mines hit Ukrainian positions) and Vodyane.

In general, Ukrainian forces lost five men over 24 hours; another four sustained combat wounds.
