Representatives of Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights visited all detention facilities under the procedure; the first stage of verification of detained persons was completed. This was reported by Ukrainian Ombudsman Valeriya Lutkovska, according to Hromadske.
"There is an issue left regarding 159 names, those people who are on the lists, but are already at large. It is not yet clear how we should identify them. If people are free and do not want to go to the occupied territory, then the result is obvious," Lutkovska commented.
According to her, she will go with this problem to Minsk at the next negotiations to propose the form of verification by phone or through Skype connection.
Thus, the working groups have interviewed those on the lists for the exchange and established whether they want to return to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. Only 5% of interviewed people agreed to return to the occupied territories in terms of exchange.
It was also noted that the questioning was recorded on the video as evidence, proving that all the answers were given voluntarily. Representatives of OSCE SMM, Security Service of Ukraine and families of detained ones were part of the working groups.
