During the additional inspection of Mayorske checkpoint territory in the Donetsk region, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service found a fragment of a mortar mine. This is reported on the department website.

"At about 12:10, the State Emergencies demining group discovered an unexploded 120-mm artillery mine 150 meters from the Mayorske checkoint near the side of the road. To ensure the safety of civilians crossing the demarcation line and the personnel of the State Emergency Service, the chairman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, in coordination with the commander of the Joint forces, has stopped the passage through the line of demarcation,” the message says.

Civilians and military personnel were transferred to a safe place. Now the demining team is taking measures to seize an explosive item. On the restoration of Mayorske checkpoint operation will be announced later.

Earlier we reported information about the mining. A pyrotechnic group and a department of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the State Committee of Emergency Situations in the Donetsk region were sent to the scene to inspect the territory. During the survey of the territory near the checkpoint an explosive object was found.
