Leonid Kuchma, the representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk and ex-president of Ukraine claimed Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia should be asked about of the peace in Donbas and even the fortune tellers do not know when peace will come there as Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“And when the peace will come there, nobody knows…even the fortune tellers. Putin should be asked about his when he is going to give peace to the people at these territories,” Kuchma claimed.
Talking about the upcoming session of the Trilateral Contact Group, Kuchma noted that the agenda will remain unchanged - security, prisoner’s exchange and social topics.
“I have not received the agenda yet but I am sure that it is unchanged: security issues – at the first place, the exchange of the illegally detained persons…humanitarian, social problems, which were always raised,” he said.
According to Kuchma, the provision of the water, gas, electricity, payment of the pensions, “checkpoints that should be crossed normally, without long lines” are also on agenda.
“So, such issues will be there – they were and remain to be,” Kuchma noted, emphasizing that these issues are hard to be solved until there is no peace in Donbas, “until this territory is not our territory in fact”.
Earlier Kucma claimed that there are few chances of holding another round of prisoners exchange in Donbas.
On August 22, the Trilateral Contact Group agreed to begin the school ceasefire in Donbas on August 29.
