The European Union intends to allocate extra 2 million euros for the implementation of the projects for support of the civilian population in Donbas Conflict zone as the EU Delegation to Ukraine reported.
“The EU will increase its support of civilian protection in the east of Ukraine, providing one million euros for these goals. It will contribute to the implementation of the strategy of Ukraine on the protection of the civilian population as soon as it is adopted,” the message said.
Besides, the EU will finance the reconstruction of the modern center of the administrative services in Stanytsia Luhanska. It will provide efficient access of the citizens of Ukraine to the services – from the pension fund up to the registers of the real estate, in accordance with the reform of the decentralization.
Moreover, Brussels will allocate one million euros for support of the resistance before the dangers in the Azov Sea region. The issue is about the improvement of the reliability and access of the information in the region and urgent, medium- and long-term needs.
Besides, the OSCE SMM will get extra 3.2 million euros from the EU for its work in Donbas Conflict zone.
As we reported, the EU can provide a tranche of 500 million euros to Ukraine as early as February 2020.
