NATO expressed concern about the escalation of the conflict in Donbas and urged Russia to withdraw its forces from Ukraine as NATO Spokesperson Oana Lungescu stated.

“We are concerned about the escalation of violence from the side of the Russia-backed separatists in the east of Ukraine. It disrupts the Minsk Agreements and efforts on peace settlement of the conflict. NATO fully supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders,” Lungescu said.

Besides, she noted that NATO still urges Russia to withdraw its forces and assume real forces on the fulfillment of the Minsk Agreements.
