Eleven-year old boy injured near militants’ polygon in Luhansk, - OSCE

An object the boy picked up exploded in his hands

An 11-year-old boy was injured as a result of an explosion of an unknown object in the occupied Luhansk, near the polygon of “LNR” militants. This was reported today by the press service of Special Monitoring Mission of the OSCE, according to LIGA.net.

The OSCE representatives visited children’s hospital in Luhansk and talked to the mother of a child.

“She told the observers that on Monday her son was playing near the polygon located near their home in the south-east part of Luhansk and picked up an unknown object from the ground,” the press service reported.

According to her, this object exploded in his hands. On the same day, the boy underwent surgery. Hospital medical staff told the observers that the boy had a surgery on the abdominal cavity, and now his condition is stable.

As it was reported earlier OSCE Assembly members consider resolution on de-occupation of Crimea and Donbas on July 7-8. Gerasimov noted that the Russian side will try to exclude the most points.
