Drunken militant threw hammer at OSCE observers in Donetsk

It flew over the heads of the observers and fell in two meters from two parked SMM cars

A drunken militant threw a hammer at the members of the OSCE SMM patrol in Donetsk as it is stated in the report of the SMM.

“At a checkpoint of the armed formations in the Trudovski area of the Petrovskyi district in Donetsk city (non-government-controlled, 15km south-west of Donetsk city centre), a man in military-type clothing, who appeared to the SMM to be inebriated, threw a hammer in the direction of the SMM patrol members,” the message said.

According to the observers, the hammer flew over their heads and fell in two meters from two parked SMM cars. A drunken man left the site.

After this a member of the armed formation from the nearby checkpoint apologized to the observers for the militant’s behavior.

As we reported an explosion took place from a distance less than 300 meters from the OSCE SMM observers not far from Petrovske, Luhansk region on May 30. According to the SMM, the explosion took place in the result of the 82-mm mine's burst.

Earlier the OSCE SMM in Donbas reported an attack on their observers in Donetsk region. No casualties were reported. According to the OSCE, the fire was opened from the residential quarters in Horlivka, Donetsk region.
