Drinking water supplied to Avdiivka from reservoir

The supplying of the drinking water to Avdiivka, Donetsk regions has begun due to absence of the public water supply as the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

“On September 9, the rescuers of the Emergency Service in Donetsk regions supplied the drinking water to the citizens of Avdiivka in the amount of 6,000 liters and 4,000 liters of the industrial water. The public service of the city supplied the industrial water in the amounf of 4,000 liters,” the message said.

As a result of the bad weather in Donetsk region, three settlements were left without power, and water supply stopped in Avdiivka, as the press office of Ukraine’s Emergency Service reported.

Storm alert was declared in Donetsk region. Ukraine’s Meteorological Center informed that wind gusts might reach 15-20 m/s.

The repair works were planned for September 8, only in the terms of the security guarantees and ceasefire. However, as of September 10, the information on the resume of the water supply to Avdiivka was not received.
