President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko claims that the points of the draft law on the reintegration of Donbas should not harm the process of return of Crimea under the Ukrainian sovereignty. It is stated at the presidential project of law ‘On specifics of state policy on ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty over temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions’. The draft law was registered in the parliament on October 4.
‘This law acts without harm for the essential sovereign right of Ukraine at the temporarily occupied territory of Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol and events that aim for the complete restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the internationally recognized border’, the presidential law stated.
Also, Poroshenko offers to formalize in legislation the status of the occupied by Russia territories for all settlements that are under control of the militants of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. The president offers to fasten the control of the militants on the Joint Operation Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The president submitted two draft laws to the parliament concerning the situation in Donbas. The first one provides the specifics of state policy of Ukraine towards temporarily occupied territories. The second provides the peaceful settlement of the conflict.
Earlier Poroshenko offered to create the international friend group of the de-occupation of Crimea. Also, he expressed the beliefs in the return of Donbas and Crimea under the Ukrainian sovereignty.
