Militants of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (‘DPR’) reported they had captured a Ukrainian citizen. According to their ‘Ministry for State Security’, the 28-year-old Ukrainian citizen Liliya Kots belongs to the Right Sector and the Organization of the Ukrainian Nationalists. The Russia-backed mercenaries insist she had prepared to kidnap one of their comrades and get him to Ukraine-controlled territory.

‘Instructed by the OUN, Kots met and contacted a serviceman of the DPR. During a conversation, she gained his trust and arranged a meeting with him, aining to kidnap and move him to Ukraine-held territory,’ the outlet wrote. The ‘ministry’ is about to initiate the criminal case against her.

Both OUN and the Right Sector deny Kots’s involvement in their activities, as well as her membership in these organizations.
