The authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic gather materials for filing lawsuits against Ukraine. This was stated by Donetsk Plenipotentiary Representative Denis Pushilin, Interfax reports.

The lawsuits will deal with war crimes allegedly committed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the Donbas.

"It is too early to say this war is over, but all the materials we collect to court sessions. After each war there comes a time when all war crimes will be revealed. Those responsible will be punished", said Pushilin.

Answering the question whether there will be the trial on the basis of the collected materials against Armed Forces of Ukraine Pushilin said: "We have a growing confidence that the punishment will find those responsible".

Pushilin has not specified to which particular court they intend to apply.

Recall, back in 2014, Donetsk militants announced their intention to sue the Ukrainian authorities because of inhumane warfare.
