Germany, France and Russia supported the idea of placing armed OSCE mission at Normandy format meeting

The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk ‘People's Republics’ categorically opposed the introduction of the armed OSCE mission in the Donbas region. This was stated by the so called Donetsk National Council Head Denis Pushilin, TASS agency reports.

"Donetsk and Luhansk are categorically against the placing of the OSCE armed mission on its territory. This position is not supported not only by the leadership of the republic, but also by our citizens", Pushilin said.

As reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Germany, France and Russia supported the placement of the OSCE armed mission on the Ukraine-controlled areas of the Donbas region, including those along the border with the Russian Federation to ensure the preparations for the upcoming local elections "when security conditions permit the holding of these elections".
