Donbas war: Pro-Kremlin militants open fire three times

No casualties of the Joint Forces operation have been registered

The Russia-backed militants violated the ceasefire regime in the Donbas conflict zone three times today, May 12. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense Maksym Prauta stated this during the session, as the press service of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ posted on Facebook.

“In Luhansk region, the enemy used 10 shells of 120 mm caliber from Sokilnyky settlement at the positions of the Joint Forces operation near Krymske village at 5:00 a.m. In Donetsk region, the occupants fired with automatic easel and manual anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms from Verkhnioshyrokivske village at servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who were performing their duties near Hnutove settlement at 3:00 a.m. The enemy opened fire with the automatic grenade launchers near Kamyanka village at 10:00 a.m.,” the report said.

According to the report, no casualties of the Ukrainian side have been registered.

Earlier, Russian occupants violated the ceasefire regime 11 times, including the Minsk-banned weaponry, in Donbas combat zone on May 11. Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded as a result of the attack. 

The enemy fired the Ukrainian positions with the grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
