Donbas war: One Ukrainian soldier dies

Over the past 24 hours the militants opened fire eight times in Donbas combat zone, one Ukrainian soldier dies, one more sustained injuries, as the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported on Facebook.

“On February 4, Russian occupation troops violated the ceasefire eight times, they also used Minsk-banned weapons four times. As a result of the enemy’s attack, one soldier of the Joint Forces Operation died, one more got injured,” the message says.

Militants fired at the Ukrainian positions near the location of “Vostok” tactical group from 82mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers near Opytne, the enemy used small arms near Nevelske.

In “Sever” group sector, the militants shot at our positions twice from 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns near Khutir Vilny, twice from grenade launchers near Novoluhanske, from 82mm mortars – near Krymske.

Ukrainian intelligence reports six militants eliminated, four – seriously wounded.

“Enemy did not attack today. Ukrainian servicemen continue controlling the demarcation line, observing the ceasefire,” HQ added.
