Donbas war: Night artillery shelling lasted for hour

The Defence Ministry confirmed that two Ukrainian servicemen died in that attack, eight more sustained wounds

Artillery attacks in Donbas on June 7 lasted for an hour, militants launched 18 artillery shells, as Defence Ministry Spokesperson Oleksandr Motuznyak said at the briefing, the press office of the establishment reported.

“At night, Russian occupation troops performed attack at the positions of the Joint Forces Operation near Novoluhanske. Enemy’s shelling from 120mm mortars and 122mm artillery was recorded at 12:30 am. Fire was directed at Kalynivske village and lasted for an hour. The enemy launched 18 artillery and 11 mortar shells,” the message reads.

The Defence Ministry confirmed that two Ukrainian servicemen died in that attack, eight more sustained wounds.

“All the injured soldiers were evacuated and hospitalized, our army doctors take care of them,” Motuznyak noted.

He added that for now, the situation is rather stable.
