Eight Ukrainian border guards were injured during the artillery attack on Sartana village, Donetsk region. It occurred on late Thursday, June 8. The pro-Kremlin militants fired about 40 artillery shells on the village and the adjacent position of Ukrainian border guards.

The local armed reserves of the Border Guard are on high alert, ready to return fire whenever necessary.

Maintenance workers are dealing with numerous breaches in the local gas pipeline; a lot of buildings and transport vehicles took damage, too. The military reported no casualties among the civilians. The law enforcers opened criminal investigation into this case, which is viewed as a terrorist attack.
