On August 21, Russian mercenaries opened fire on Ukrainian positions 24 times. That included four attacks with the use of heavy weaponry, which is banned by Minsk agreements.
In course of the combat actions, two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded, the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported.
The occupant forces opened adjusted fire from RPGs, heavy machineguns and small arms. IFVs were used, too. The enemy troops also fired 82 and 120 mm mortars.
The attacks were observed in the areas of Artema, Novotoshkivske, Krymske, Zaitsevo, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Chermalyk and Lebedynske. Mines hit Zalizne, Hnutove, Avdiivka and Chermalyk.
Since Wednesday morning, there have been no casualties among Ukrainian troops.
