Ukrainian positions in Donbas came under intense fire from various kinds of weaponry, including the 82 and 120 mm mortars banned by Minsk agreement. Two fighters lost their lives in combat, while four more sustained injuries, press service of the joint staff of counter-terrorism operation reported.
After 6 p.m. Tuesday, the enemy continued landing attacks all over the division line in Donetsk region.
Avdiivka, Butivka coal mine, Troitske, Novoselivka II and Mayorske took fire from RPGs and heavy machineguns. Militants opened fire from small arms in Pisky and Kamyanka. One of the two deceased Ukrainian soldiers lost his life during a mortar attack in Zaitsevo.
Mariinka remains the hottest spot in the Mariupol sector, as it was hit by 82 mm mines. 120 mm mortar fire was reported in Hnutove. Lebedynske took fire from 82 mm mortars.
Enemy IFVs opened fire in Novooleksandrivka (Luhansk region); small arms fire was observed in Krymske and Popasna.
