On Thursday, pro-Kremlin mercenaries landed two attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas combat zone. Press office of the Joint Forces Operation reported that on March 11.
In the vicinities of Pishchevik, Donetsk region, the occupants opened fire twice, using mounted automatic grenade launchers. None of Ukrainian servicemen were wounded. No attacks occurred in other sections of combat zone.
On March 10, Russian militants attacked Ukrainian military emplacements eight times; one Ukrainian soldier deceased in combat.
Earlier, Matilda Bogner, Head of UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine said that eight civilians were killed by explosives in Donbas from August 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021.
"Thirty-six civilian casualties resulted from mine-related incidents and handling of explosive remnants of war: eight killed (seven men and one woman) and 28 injured (20 men, five boys, and three women). Two other civilian casualties (one injured man and one injured girl) were caused by a road incident with a military vehicle", the report says.
Following the agreement on measures to strengthen the ceasefire by the Trilateral Contact Group which took effect on 27 July 2020, the security situation in the conflict zone in Donetsk and Luhansk regions has improved significantly.
