Fighters wearing Russian uniforms have been spotted in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska (the area of the disengagement of forces No.1). They wore the armbands with the inscriptions saying 'Joint Control Coordination Centre'. The actual officers of this Centre do not use such armbands. The press office of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Facebook.
According to the framework decision, the servicemen of Ukraine's military and militants of Donetsk and Luhansk regions cannot stay in the separate areas of disengagement. Only the JCCC officers can stay there.
The Joint Control Coordination Centre was created in September 2014. The unit comprised of the Ukrainian Army and Russia's Armed Forces. The officers were deployed in the designated areas.
In December 2017, Russia voluntarily withdrew from the Centre; officers left Ukraine. There were no representatives of the so-called republics in the Centre.
The Ukrainian side of the JCCC demands that the Russian occupant authority remove the mentioned representatives of armed units from the territory of disengagement area.
