July 12, pro-Kremlin militants opened fire in Donbas 16 times. They breached the ceasefire, using weapons banned by Minsk agreements, such as 152 and 122 mm artillery and mortars of various calibers. They also fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms, Joint Forces Operation HQ reported.
In the Luhansk region, the mercenaries attacked Novotoshkivske. 152 mm artillery was used in the attack. Krymske came under fire from 120 mm mortars, twice.
In Orikhove and Khutir Volny, the illegal armed gangs of Russian militants fired mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms. In the nighttime, the enemy opened fire in Luhanske, using 82 mm mortars and other weaponry, including small arms.
In the Donetsk region, the enemy focused its efforts on shelling Avdiivka. A wide range of weaponry was used, including 122 mm cannons, 120 mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms. In Opytne, the occupants also fired 120 mm mortars and mounted anti-tank grenade launchers. Ukrainian positions near Mariinka, Kamyanka, Vodyane, and Novoselivka took fire, too.
On July 12, six Ukrainian servicemen were injured in combat. All of them were evacuated to hospitals. The enemy casualties made three dead and at least eight wounded.
