Ukraine's Chief Intelligence Department reports that illegal armed units in Donbas are deploying extra firing positions for machine gunners and anti-tank missile launchers. They also increase the number of snipers to be involved in combat. The press office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on March 9.

"Armed Forces of the aggressor state increase their combat potential in the temporarily occupied territories and near the borders of Ukraine; they carry on with provocative steps", reads the message.

According to the Chief Intelligence Department, Russian occupants have been also deploying new artillery and mortar sites and delivering ammunition supplies to the frontline positions.

Since the beginning of the day, March 9, pro-Kremlin militants breached the "ceasefire" five times.
