On Saturday, March 9, illegal armed groups fired at the positions of the Joint Forces in Donbas from midnight to 6:00 pm. This is reported on the Joint Forces Operation page on Facebook.
"During the current day, the enemy twice violated the cease-fire, three times using artillery prohibited by the Minsk agreements... There are no casualties among the personnel of the Joint Forces," the report said.
In the area of the East operational tactical grouping, the militants fired at the Ukrainian positions in the Lebedynske area with 120-mm mortars.
In the area of the North operational tactical grouping, the illegal armed formations fired at Joint Forces positions from mortars of 120 and 82 mm calibers in the area of Krymske.
“Our defenders responded with adequate fire every time the enemy attacked. The enemy’s losses are being clarified,” the Operations HQ added.
Earlier, on March 8, the deal on the ceasefire regime has come into force in the Donbas conflict zone. The agreement has been reached previously by the subgroup on the security of the Contact Group on conflict settlement of eastern Ukraine.
It also should be noted that Russian militants have fired on March 8, despite the armistice they promised.
