Donbas: OSCE observed 1,459 ceasefire violations over weekend

Over the last weeked, OSCE SMM observed 1,459 breaches of ceasefire in Donbas. This is mentioned in the daily report published by the Mission.

988 cases of ceasefire violation were observed in Donetsk region; that included 138 explosions. In Luhansk region, 471 cases occurred, including 62 explosions.

Earlier, Politico released new satellite images that confirmed recent information about Russia building up military forces and vehicles on the border with Ukraine. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov claimed these images "misleading".

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Armed Forces of Ukraine use the weapons available to them only to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state and only in response to the violation of the regime of silence in Donbas by the enemy. That was his commentary on the recent use of Bayraktar drone in teh combat area. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba added that Ukraine "observed the necessary communication procedures through the Joint Center for Coordination and Control and with the OSCE in order to apply the right to self-defense".
