Donbas: one Ukrainian soldier died, two more wounded on Friday

On Friday, February, 15, one Ukrainian serviceman died, two more were wounded in Donbas conflict zone. The Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ reported this on Facebook.

The Russian militants violated the ceasefire regime 9 times, they also used Minsk-banned weaponry twice over 24 hours.

“The enemy fired our positions eight times, including five times they used Minsk-banned weaponry over 24 hours”, - the report said.  

In the East group area, the enemy attacked our positions twice: with anti-tank guided missile near Marinka village and with 120 mm mortar near Kamianka town.

In the North group area, the enemy attacked our positions six times: with 120 mm mortar near Novooleksandrivka village, with 82 mm mortar near Nyzhnie village, with 82 mm mortar near Zolote-1 and Khutir Vilnyi settlements, with easel grenade launchers of various systems and anti-aircraft mount ZU-23-2 near Zolote-4 village and easel anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near Popasna village.

As a result of the attack, one soldier of Ukrainian Armed Forces died and two more we wounded”, - the evening report said.

Earlier, a fighter of the Ukrainian military deceased in combat in Donbas on Friday.

Heavy shells landed in Novoluhanske; 120 mm mines and 152 shells hit the Ukrainian positions in this area. The extensive use of 82 mm mines was observed in Krymske and Vilny farmstead. In Zaitsevo, the enemy fired stationary grenade launchers.
