Russian-backed militants six times violated the ceasefire regime yesterday

February, 16, one Ukrainian serviceman died and one was wounded as a result of the hostile attack in Donbas conflict zone. The Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ reported this on Facebook.

The Russian militants violated the ceasefire regime 6 times, they also used Minsk-banned weaponry over 24 hours.

In the East operational group action zone, the enemy fired four times:

  • grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near Avdiivka town;
  • anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near Pavlopil village;
  • anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms near Hnutove settlement.

“In the North group area, the enemy attacked our positions near Krymske settlement twice: with 82 mm mortar, infantry fighting vehicles BMP-1, manual anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms; and the second time with heavy machine guns of various system and heavy machine guns,” the report said.

Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped the attack by opening fire as well. According to surveillance, five Russian militants were killed and four more were wounded on February, 16.

Since midnight on February, 17, the enemy fired twice.

In the East operational group action zone, the enemy fired with manual anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms near Vodiane settlement.

In the North group area, the enemy attacked our positions with 82 mm mortar and heavy machine guns near Katerynivka village.

As a result of the attack, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
