Day in Donbas: One Ukrainian serviceman wounded

Russian-backed militants violated the ceasefire regime seven times and used Minsk-banned weaponry over 24 hours

On March 2, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded in the Donbas conflict zone. Russian militants attacked the Armed Forces of Ukraine seven times, they also used the Minsk-banned weaponry three times. The Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ reported this on Facebook.

The enemy fired six times in the East operational group action zone:

  • With 82 mm and 120 mm mortar, anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms near Lebedynske settlement;
  • With 120 mm mortars near Vodiane village;
  • With automatic grenade launchers near Verkhnyotoretzke village;
  • With easel and manual anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms near Pavlopil settlement.

In the North group area, the hostile forces attacked our positions three times with automatic easel grenade launchers near Travneve settlement.

According to Ukraine's surveillance, one fighter of the Russian army was killed on March 2. Besides, one unit of the enemy’s military equipment was destroyed.

From midnight, the Russian militants two times shelled Ukraine's positions. In the North group area, the enemy attacked our positions with 120 mm mortars and used 30 shells near Novozvanivka and Zolote-4 villages.

No casualties among the Joint Forces operation were spotted.
