The representatives of the occupied Donbas expressed a desire to be present at the Normandy format meeting. They also want involve the United States in the talks to. This was announced by the representative of "Luhansk People’s Republic" at the talks in the Trilateral Contact Group Rodion Miroshnyk in his Telegram.
"There really is no constructive and effective dialogue in both the Normandy and Minsk formats today. The joint meeting of Normandy-format advisers, US representatives and representatives of "Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics" could become a restart point of a full-fledged dialogue," the statement said.
Miroshnyk added that official proposals for such a format were submitted to the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov with a request to acquaint all potential participants of the meeting and initiate it.
Earlier, Putin in dialogue with Macron accused Ukraine of destructive actions in negotiations on Donbas.
In early June, it was reported that French President Emmanuel Macron had reached an agreement with Ukrainian and Russian Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin on talks in the Normandy format at the level of foreign ministers.
