Over the past 24 hours, Russian mercenaries attacked the Ukrainian army positions 18 times; one government forces soldier was wounded in action. According to the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation, no cases of use of heavy weaponry were reported.
'Russian occupant forces landed the adjusted fire on defenders of Krymske, Zhovte, Luhanske, Svitlodarsk, Mayorsk, Avdiivka, Pisky, Kamyanka, Novotroitske, Novomykhailivka, Lebedynske, Hnutove, Shyrokyne and Vodyane. The occupants attempted to make the Joint Forces return fire, so that they could charge Ukraine with violating the ceasefire', reads the message at Facebook.
According to the Ukrainian intelligence, three members of the illegal armed formations were killed, and another one wounded.
Since Friday midnight, the militants have attacked Ukraine's positions twice, near Shyrokyne and Vodyane. One Ukrainian serviceman sustained injuries in action.
Earlier, Pro-Kremlin armed bandits launched an attack at Mayorsk checkpoint in Donetsk region; they opened fire at an armored car of the Ukrainian military. The HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported that on Facebook. According to the message, the incident took place at 6 a.m., when the checkpoint opened. 'A border guard unit took fire from the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Ukraine, as the staff moved to the outpost of Mayorsk checkpoint. Due to the attack, a 7.62-mm bullet hit the windshield of Cougar, the armored car of Ukrainian border guards', it said. Assistant Head of the State Border Guard Oleg Slobodyan added that Cougars saved lives of at least fifteen Ukrainian fighters.
