On September 28, at about 17.30, a militant from the so-called "Luhansk People’s Republic" group of Donbas voluntarily surrendered at the position of one of the mechanized brigades of the Joint Forces. This was reported by the press service of the JFO.
“We were just on combat duty and watching out to prevent enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group from passing through. We saw that some unknown person was moving in the direction of our positions. Watching closely, we allowed the person as close as possible. In a few minutes, we realized that this was a combatant with a weapon. When he came close to our observer, we quickly disarmed him and immediately reported to our commander," the Ukrainian army soldiers note.
This man is a 23-year-old junior sergeant, served in the 6th separate motorized rifle regiment in occupied Kadiivka, as a driver mechanic. He officially joined the enemy mercenaries back in 2016 as soon as he came of age. The young man was brought to the militants by his own father, who served in one of the units.

Unable to bear the bullying and constant humiliation both from the Russian curators and from his colleagues, the member of illegal armed group decided to voluntarily move to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
